Barbara H. Hartsfield opened Collectible & Antique Chair Gallery in 2009, on Main Street in Georgia's historic Stone Mountain Village. Exhibited Items were collected over twenty five years and set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD in 2008 for the largest collection of miniature chairs, (3,000).
The museum is a member of both the Georgia Museum association and the Small Museum Association.
Colorful displays are decorated with miniature chairs and background themes for major holidays such as Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Valentine, Halloween, and other exciting décor.
Special exhibits includes a jungle scene with twig chairs; a seven feet Christmas tree with over 100 chair ornaments, ( available year round); chairs inside multiple bottles; a curio with over one hundred chair salt/pepper shakers; a chair garden within a claw foot bath tub, and much more.
Some chairs are designed for specific functions such as clocks, lamps, inkwells, teapots, banks, cookie jars, jewelry, and other unique chair styles.
The chairs are constructed from an array of material and ranges in dimensions from miniatures to doll chair sizes.
